Sales Engineer / Engagement Manager
Full Time Role, Remote Working
As a Sales Engineer/ Engagement manager for a fast-growing start-up AI/ ML organization, the incumbent would be required to have a right balance of Technical knowledge (AI, ML driven business solutions and working knowledge in software domain) along with exceptional selling skills to ensure that the clients’ and the company’s needs are met.
Roles and Responsibilities
Actively seek out potential clients who would benefit from and invest in AI based products and services.
Maintain existing relationships with the clients through providing them exceptional service and delivery.
Acquire new clients through consultative problem-solving approach and an attitude to constantly expand and grow this niche market.
Liaise with the client teams and the company’s technical team in order to interpret the client's requirements correctly.
Understand client’s business requirements clearly through probing/ workshops and translate them into technical requirements.
Ensure on-time delivery of solutions post client acquisition through action driven late stage sales funnel management on regular cadence.
Ensure speedy new client acquisition through actions on early stage sales funnel management and obtaining timely management support for securing new deals.
Keep sales funnel up-to-date in a disciplined manner for both early and late stage funnel – in order to ensure timely funnel actions and client delight.
Negotiate and close sales deals independently by demonstrating true value of our AI solutions and client benefits in terms of incremental revenues, increased productivity, lowering costs, time savings or a combination of these
Attend relevant trade shows, conferences and other marketing/ online events to keep himself/ herself up to date on latest industrial trends.
Develop domain expertise over time in two to three dominant client industries such as telecommunications, energy, healthcare, Hi Tech etc.
Meet Sales targets decided by the organization and ensure quarter on quarter target delivery.
Provide pre sales technical support to clients to uncover their latent/ known needs through AI/ ML education.
Use appropriate systems, tools and techniques to measure the project performance including but not limited to the latest tools such as Agile, JIRA, Trello, Confluence among others.
Act as SPOC (Single Point of Contact) between Client and the entire organization for select clients as defined by the management.
Qualifications, Experience and Leadership Attributes
Should possess high integrity, candor and ability to win client’s trust through honest two-way communication.
Should have proven sales experience at a minimum of 4 years successful sales and business scale up track record.
Should have a BTech or BE in Computer Science or Computer Engineering from a reputed institution. Having an MBA will be an advantage.
Should have deep understanding of AI/ ML based products and services
Should have attention to detail in order to consistently execute and thereby meet quarterly sales targets.
Should have an ability to work under pressure and meet defined deadlines.
Should be Self-driven with ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment with ability to work across diverse teams.
Should possess exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
Should have exceptional presentation and oratory skills with an ability to engage clients throughout.
Should have outstanding analytical and problem solving skills with an ability to think out of the box to drive solutions.
Should have expertise in all office tools such Excel, Power point, Word, Keynote, Pages, Google Docs
Should be comfortable working in a virtual environment with minimum supervision.
Must have active listening with a “Clients first” attitude without compromising organizational interests – to build lasting win-win relationships
Working knowledge in one or more the following disciplines will be an added and definitive advantage:- Data modelling, Geospatial analytics, Python.
